What you'll need

Do this, in order

  1. 1

    Connect your tracker

Install the Linear (or Jira) MCP and show me the current cycle's open issues.

You'll get: A list of open issues in the active cycle.

  2. 2

    Turn notes into tasks

Here are my messy meeting notes. Pull out every action item and create a Linear issue for each, with owners where named.

You'll get: Created issues, one per action item, linked back to you.

  3. 3

    Keep docs in sync

Write a short summary of what we decided into a new Notion page and link the issues you created.

You'll get: A Notion page with the decision summary and links to the new issues.

You're done when

Ideas and meeting notes become tracked, owned work in your real tools — no manual copying between Notion, Linear, and the meeting.

Why this workflow exists

The gap between “we decided this” and “it’s tracked somewhere” is where work gets lost. Productivity MCP servers let Claude read your notes and write straight into Notion, Linear, or Jira — so action items become real issues with owners, and the doc trail stays in sync, without you retyping anything.
